Version Control Setup

SimDiff works with any version control client that accepts an external diff and merge tool.

Git

Git on the command line configures git difftool and git mergetool to open SimDiff.

Git Extensions points the diff and merge tools at ToolSelector, then opens SimDiff from the commit and merge dialogs.

SourceTree sets a custom external diff tool and merge tool, then launches SimDiff for a change or a conflict.

TortoiseGit registers SimDiff for .mdl and .slx in the Diff Viewer and Merge Tool settings.

Subversion

TortoiseSVN registers SimDiff for .mdl in the Diff Viewer and Merge Tool settings.

Mercurial

Mercurial adds an extdiff command and a merge tool in the Mercurial configuration file, including TortoiseHg.

IBM ClearCase

ClearTeam Explorer adds SimDiff as a Compare/Merge provider and uses it for .mdl and .slx files.
