Choose the Right SimDiff Edition for Your Team
Selecting the best SimDiff tool starts with understanding your team’s specific needs for Simulink model comparison, merging, review, and automation.
If you need to actively compare and merge Simulink models — and generate detailed change reports or interactive Peer Review files for exploration and visualization of differences — SimDiff Workstation is the full-featured solution designed for engineers who perform the work.
If your team includes members who only need to review and explore changes made by others (without merging models or requiring a Simulink license), SimDiff Review is a cost-effective alternative to SimDiff Workstation. It allows users to load and interactively navigate Peer Review files created by a colleague using SimDiff Workstation or by SimDiff Automation.
If you want to integrate Simulink model differencing directly into your DevOps workflow, such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or other modern CI/CD platforms, SimDiff Automation provides seamless automated comparison and reporting within your pipeline.
Legacy options are still available for existing users:
SimDiff Workstation (formerly SimDiff Team) differences and merges Simulink models and generates a detailed change report or Peer Review file for interactive exploration and visualization of the differences.
SimDiff Classic (formerly SimDiff Professional) offers the same core differencing, merging, and detailed reporting capabilities as SimDiff Workstation.
SimDiff Standard provides essential model differencing without merging or advanced reporting.
Editions
All editions of SimDiff come with all standard features, including filtering, graphical view, and conflict detection.
SimDiff supports all major blocksets, including Stateflow, dSPACE blocksets, RTW, Xilinx, and many more.

SimDiff can run on any computer running Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, or 11 or supported versions of Linux.
SimDiff is compatible with all versions of Simulink, including the latest release.

License Options
SimDiff Workstation
Named user allows a single user to install and use SimDiff on multiple computers.
Node locked allows SimDiff to run on a single computer.
Workgroup float can float amongst a pool of 10 users (or computers).
SimDiff Review
Float for SimDiff Review can float amongst an unlimited pool of users (or computers)
SimDiff Automation
Float for SimDiff Automation can float amongst a pool of up to 100 users.
Each type of license can be purchased as a perpetual license or a 1-year subscription license. The perpetual license includes one year of complimentary maintenance starting at the beginning of the following month. During the maintenance or subscription period you are entitled to all major and minor updates as well as e-mail support.
You can purchase additional maintenance for up to 3 months after your maintenance contract expires. To do so, contact an ENSOFT sales representative at sales@ensoftcorp.com; please include your license number in the email if you have it.

Legacy Editions
We have adjusted our standard product line up to better fit how organizations use SimDiff in the context of DevOps platforms, but we still offer our legacy products to customers who haven’t shifted to DevOps yet.
SimDiff Workstation (formerly SimDiff Team) differences and merges Simulink models and generates a detailed change report or Peer Review file for interactive exploration and visualization of the differences.
SimDiff Classic (formerly SimDiff Professional) differences Simulink models and generates a detailed change report or Peer Review file for interactive exploration and visualization of the differences.
SimDiff Standard differences Simulink models, more quickly and accurately than any other diff tool on the market.
ISO 26262 Certification
An ISO 26262 TCL1 certified version of SimDiff is available upon request for an additional fee. The only difference between the normal version of SimDiff and the ISO 26262 TCL1 version of SimDiff is a documentation paragraph advising you to test models before using them in a production vehicle.
