Software engineers in the field spend 60 to 80 percent of their time reading software as opposed to writing software. New recruits have hard time achieving a reasonable understanding of existing software which delays their becoming fully productive.

EnSoft trains people with targeted program reading enabled by program comprehension tools. We can provide onsite or web-based customized training with focus on your company's software.

EnSoft works with two award winning educators Dr. Kothari and Dr. Chillarege.

Dr. Kothari is a professor at Iowa State University. He has pioneered novel program reading courses taught through the Engineering Distance Education Service at Iowa State University. In 2008, Dr. Kothari received the Prometheus Award for his innovation in software engineering education.

Dr. Chillarege, formerly the founding Head of IBM Center for Software Engineering, has received the IEEE Technical Achievement Award, recognizing his “invention of Orthogonal Defect Classification and contributions to advances in software engineering measurements and analysis.”
